Meet Brutus and Caesar, our Ball Pythons.
Ball Pythons originated and live in the dry grasses of the Savanna desert or along the forest edges. They are native to the Sudanese subprovince west of the Nile, in southern Sudan, the Bahrel Ghazal and Nuba Mountains Region, from Senegal to Sierra Leone in West Africa, and in the Ivory Coast and some parts of Central Africa. Ball Pythons can climb into trees, but they rarely do. In the wild, they tend to hide under rocks or inside dark crevices and hunt rodents such as rats, gerbils and gerboas.
Ball pythons shed their skin periodically. Once their eyes begin to look cloudy, shedding will commence very soon. The process takes approximately one to two weeks.
